The villa lies inside the nature reserve at Stagnone, one of the most fascinating places in Sicily, along the Via del Sale ("Salt Road"), where if you continue down the road for a few kilometers, you come across the huge ponds reflecting the color of the sky, with mountains of salt on the side covered with tiles. Villa Albaria lies in front of the sea: crossing a small road you can go straight in the water, which is quite shallow a long way into the sea. It lies about 4 km from the old town center of Marsala and is completely surrounded by the green vegetation of its garden. The external areas include relaxation areas both in the garden and on the panoramic terrace and also a large furnished area for dining outside. The furnishings are of good quality and are very comfortable, and the villa comes equipped with 2 washing machines, dishwasher, satellite TV, microwave oven, barbecue and wood-burning oven in the large outdoor kitchen. Besides visiting the salt flats, other sightseeing in the area includes the archaeological museums, the remains of the city of Mozia, an ancient Phoenician settlement; or you can visit the historic wine-cellars producing Marsala wine, one of the oldest Italian wines, and don't forget to try the local cuisine of course. Trapani is 32 km away, Palermo 125. For coming to Marsala it's worth considering the nearby airport of Birgi (12 km) with daily flights for Rome, Milan and Venice.
